Presentations must be delivered in English, and may not exceed 30 minutes, plus discussion.
Evaluation to be published by 26th February.

In the year 2020, the International Colloquium for the History of Philosophy of Nature, in its XV annual edition, is dedicated to the studies of rejection of Aristotelian notions of matter and form as viable foundations for the explanation of the natural phenomena. There is a special interest in papers dealing with terminological and conceptual development that happened when hylomorphism was confronted by new attempts to deal with the notion of matter at the beginning of Modern Philosophy.

The series of Colloquium for the History of Philosophy of Nature is supported by the Department of Philosophy, Centre for Research in History of Philosophy of Science (Physis), and the Graduate Programme in Philosophy of University of Campinas (Unicamp). The XV edition is organized in collaboration with Princeton University.
